Community Connections

Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?”
Dr. Martin L. King, Jr.

Teacher Note

I was brought up to give back to my community.  My parents modeled this for me in all the things that they did to help where we lived.  My own children have followed through on this as well witnessing the community work my wife and I have always done.

My middle school had an outstanding Health Careers Learning Program that gave seventh and eighth grade students the opportunity to perform community service once a week for the entire school year.  I really enjoyed being a part of this award winning program.
